Xylem Inc., together with its subsidiaries, designs, manufactures, and services engineered products and solutions for water and wastewater applications globally.

It operates through three segments:

• Water Infrastructure Segment: Offers water, stormwater, and wastewater pumps; controls and systems; filtration, disinfection, and biological treatment equipment; and mobile dewatering equipment under brands like Flygt, Godwin, Wedeco, Sanitaire, Leopold, and Xylem Vue. This segment focuses on the transportation and treatment of water.

• Applied Water Segment: Provides pumps, valves, heat exchangers, controls, and dispensing equipment systems under the Goulds Water Technology, Bell & Gossett, A-C Fire Pump, Standard Xchange, Lowara, Jabsco, Xylem Vue, and Flojet brands for residential, commercial building services, and industrial water applications.

• Measurement & Control Solutions Segment: Offers smart meters, networked communication devices, measurement and control technologies, and critical infrastructure technologies. It also provides software and services such as cloud-based analytics, remote monitoring, leak detection, and asset management under the Pure, Sensus, Smith Blair, WTW, Xylem Vue, and YSI brands.

The company markets and sells its products through a network of direct sales forces, resellers, distributors, and value-added solution providers.

Xylem Inc. was originally known as ITT WCO, Inc. before rebranding in May 2011.

It was incorporated in 2011 and is headquartered in Rye Brook, New York.
